ABOUT LORDEON ART
Sally Lordeon
Sally Lordeon is an Abstract Impressionist Artist who uniquely blends contemporary and impressionist painting styles in her artwork. Her work has been described as "powerful yet serene" in her use of color, form and texture.
“Abstract art feeds the imagination,” Sally says. “It allows the mind to see what the eyes do not.” Sally combines expressive brush strokes with the subtlety of veiled forms, and juxtaposes heavy texture with soft, blended colors. Her landscapes often suggest a horizon line to mimic nature’s vistas, and she similarly shows her love of abstraction with her figurative, florals and still-lifes.
Sally studied fine arts at Chatham University in Pennsylvania. She now lives in Asheville, North Carolina, and her paintings are on display at fine art galleries and in private and corporate collections across the USA and internationally.
Following a successful career as a technical writer and college textbook author, Sally returned to her first passion -- her love of art, color, form and the divine pleasure of painting. Sally reveals, “I love to write, but my heart has always been in my art.”
